Abstract
„Height estimation from CCTV footage is a common procedure in forensic investigations. However, due to capture- and subject-related distortions, estimating human height in surveillance environments remains error-prone. In this presentation, we introduce a rendered CCTV dataset designed to simulate real surveillance conditions using digital humans across diverse scenes and camera settings. We discuss how different visual cues can enhance height prediction accuracy and demonstrate the potential of synthetic data for height estimation in unconstrained settings.“
