COLFISPOOF – A New Database for Contactless Fingerprint Presentation Attack Detection Research

The biometrics and security research group da/sec of Hochschule Darmstadt collected a new database and makes it publicly available to support research in the area of contactless fingerprint presentation attack detection (PAD). The dataset comprises 7,200 samples from 72 different presentation attack instrument (PAI) species. While previous datasets mostly focus on replay, printout, and display attacks, the wide variety of PAI species in this database allows researchers to test the generalisability of their PAD algorithms. In addition to the data, pre-processing scripts and evaluation protocols are provided, thus making published results based on this data comparable.
