This year the da/sec group represent the project NetFlowBot at CeBIT 2014. This is a collaborative research project of the Universities of Applied Sciences Frankfurt am Main and Darmstadt.
The goal of NetFlowBot is to develop a computer network-based approach for early botnet detection. We want to identify command-and-control (C&C) traffic based on network flow data. Our approach considers efficiency aspects to be deployable in either Internet service provider with high traffic volume or smaller embedded context.
