The da/sec – Biometrics and Internet Security Research Group got three papers accepted (1 oral/ 2 poster) at the International Joint Conference on Biometrics (IJCB)! IJCB combines two major biometrics research annual conferences, the Biometrics Theory, Applications and Systems (BTAS) conference and the International Conference on Biometrics (ICB). The conference will be held at Clearwater, Florida, USA from 29th September to 2nd October, 2014. Accepted papers of the da/sec group cover diverse topics such as forensics or data protection with respect to various biometric characteristics in particular, fingerprint, ear and iris, which result from collaborations with University of Goettingen, Michigan State University and the University of Salzburg, respectively:
- Benjamin Tams, Christian Rathgeb, “Towards Efficient Privacy-Preserving Two-Stage Identification for Fingerprint-based Biometric Cryptosystems”
- Anika Pflug, Arun Ross, Christoph Busch, “2D Ear Classification Based on Unsupervised Clustering”
- Christian Rathgeb, Andreas Uhl, Peter Wild, “Effects of Severe Image Compression on Iris Segmentation Performance”
