Project description: BioMobile II puts emphasis on voice biometrics in mobile banking & payment solutions. In a three-factor authentication scheme, biometrics and the electronic ID are used to ensure a high security level. Thereby, major aspects are to ensure data privacy and to advance the security of biometric sensors. Following the security-by-design principle, BioMobile II assures conformance with:

Consequently, research puts emphasis not only on state-of-the-art speaker recognition (NIST SREs) and quality- & risk-based Bayesian decisions, but furthermore on biometric information protection, presentation attack detection, and forensic speaker recognition, as well as on converging a cross-jurisdictional criteriology for biometric systems from European data privacy perspectives. The project supports standardization efforts in terms of working group 1, 3, 5, 6 activities in the ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 37 „biometrics“ committee.
