Abstract

Recent research has demonstrated the vulnerability of face recognition systems to physical and digital facial manipulations. If a large part of a face has been manipulated, accurate and reliable recognition can not be guaranteed. In this talk, the vulnerability of face recognition systems to several manipulations in the physical and digital domain will be presented. Additionally, different approaches for removing facial manipulations will be described, and initial results for tattoo removal will be given.
