Abstract
Sensitive biometric data requires protection such that it is always stored and processed in a secure domain. Homomorphic encryption allows to perform computations that directly affect the plaintext and hence allow to compute the biometric distance in the encrypted domain. Furthermore, the lattice-based homomorphic encryption scheme NTRU is post-quantum-secure, providing a long-term security for biometric data.
